Spend Summer 2011 with Hope Equals
Hope Equals Learning and Service Trip
You've read the books, watched the news, seen the documentary and maybe attended a few conferences, but what does it look like to be a peace maker in the Holy Land. Well, Hope Equals has a five-week summer adventure to help you experience that for yourself. Walk the land, meet the people and hear their stories.
This summer, you could join Hope Equals on a five-week adventure in Israel and the West Bank. You will meet the leaders spearheading the peace and reconciliation movement and follow them on tours of their work. Then you will have a chance to learn even more when you volunteer for them. This experience will give you the opportunity to hear first-person stories of the situation—on both sides. You will also have a chance to swim in the Dead Sea, the Galilee, and the Mediterranean. You will visit the Church of the Nativity and the Church of the Holy Sepulcher. You will spend time at the Holocaust Museum, the Dome of the Rock, the Wailing Wall, and get to climb to the top of Masada.
While we would love to take everyone, we only have room for 15 students, and spaces will fill up soon. Send a completed application to contact@hopeequals.org: Canada application or USA application.
Trip dates are July 17-August 20, 2011.
The cost of this five-week adventure is $4,000. Price includes orientation, all ground transportation, guides in Israel and the West Bank, admission to all sites visited, lodging for five weeks, half board (breakfast and dinner), and other trip related expenses. The price does not include airfare (we are negotiating group rates with airlines), personal expenses, and lunch. If you have specific questions feel free to email us.
