Dr. Awad founded the Bible College in 1979 in the face of Israeli occupation and with only $20 for the project. Despite the hardships, the college has grown to boast a Masters degree in pastoral studies, a media ministries Bachelor degree, and a Bachelors in tour guiding, as well as other fields of study. Dr. Awad has suffered the violent death of friends and family members and yet he and his family are world renowned as advocates of peace and non-violence. His son, Sami Awad is the founder of Holy Land Trust, a Christ-centered non-violence organization in the Bethlehem area and a partner of Hope Equals. Dr. Awad will talk about the work of his ministry, it's journey and what it's like doing working among a shrinking Christian population under Israeli occupation.
